Case study 02 · link-in-bio + tracking

Creator link system

Linktree tells you a link got 400 clicks. It does not tell you that 290 came from one TikTok, from inside the TikTok browser, from Brazil, and none of them paid. This does.

What it does

  • Bio page that loads instantly inside the Instagram and TikTok browsers, with a nudge to open in a real browser where that matters for checkout.
  • Every tap logged with link, platform, in-app browser, referrer, country and city, time on page. Hashed, no third-party scripts, no cookie banner.
  • Campaign codes so a link placed in a specific post or story carries its own id and can be compared against every other placement.
  • Admin to reorder, rename, swap and pause links in seconds, plus a login that survives 90 days so it is actually used from a phone.
  • Outbound UTMs appended automatically, so the destination platform's own analytics agree with ours.

What it made visible

Which platform's traffic was worth making more content for, which countries clicked without converting, and how dwell time on the bio page related to clicks through to the paid destination. The content calendar changed because of it.

This page you are on uses the same idea. My own bio page at /links logs by platform and campaign into the same admin that runs my stores.
